                Interpreter Standards:

The LEP Advocacy Interpreter Standards Committee is composed primarily of a group of individuals specialized in training and standards setting in the field of legal and healthcare interpreting. The objectives of the Committee are to:

·      Define interpreter standards

·      Initiate the process and support the efforts of national standards in healthcare, legal and other settings

·      Gather all standards used at state and local levels so as to tap into all related resources, as well as to support other efforts in the country related to interpreter standards.
