PAUL M. UYEHARA is a staff attorney in the Language Access Project of Community Legal Services in Philadelphia, where he focuses his work on providing greater access to government and legal services for language minorities. He also maintains an active caseload of bankruptcy and mortgage foreclosure disputes. Before coming to the Language Access Project in 2000, Paul served for almost twenty years at Philadelphia Legal Assistance, CLS and Delaware County Legal Assistance, both as a paralegal and a lawyer. He has handled housing and family law cases in addition to consumer matters and was a Supervising Attorney for the Consumer Bankruptcy Assistance Project. Previously, Paul also worked as an Assistant City Solicitor for the City of Philadelphia and a law clerk in federal district court.

A 1988 honors graduate of the Temple University School of Law (Evening Division), Paul earned an A.B. from Oberlin College.
